We at hildashaus believe that everyone who menstruates deserves dignity. Period equity is a basic human need that is often stigmatised in our society.

We at hildashaus also identify a lack of social initiative for people in menopause. We believe that a dignified menopause should be a basic human right, not a privilege.

As part of our “Menstrual & Menopausal Health Awareness Program” since 2020, we have actively been combating period poverty and promoting empowerment during menopause. We distribute over 90 menstrual and bladder care products monthly to the community of displaced FINTA* individuals served by JACK-Berlin, and these distributions are accompanied by health-enhancing activities.

Our current monthly distribution includes 96 products:

• 3 packages of tampons (medium)

• 20 packages of bladder care products (extra, heavy & regular)

• 65 packages of pads (heavy & medium with wings)

• 8 liners
